Submit Questionnaire on Space Management

Eliud Escobedo, Facilities Information Management Space Change Lead

buildingIn response to rapid campus growth, UC San Diego is changing the way it manages building space. Deans and departments need access to detailed reports and decision-making tools to help them plan effective allocation of offices, classrooms, labs, and staff space assignments.

To support business needs, the campus is developing a new Facilities Information Management (FIM) solution, powered by IBM TRIRIGA software, for Space and Real Estate. FIM will eventually replace the current Facilities Information System (FIS). The FIM project team is acquiring licenses and developing user training to support the system launch this spring. Act now to ensure that your department can meet its space-planning needs.

Please ask your department space managers and space information viewers to take the FIM registration survey. Staff who should complete the survey include:

  • Current FIS users, space managers, and designated space planners
  • Employees who are, or will be, involved in relocating people, allocating space or making other space-related decisions

These employees should complete the survey by January 31.

If you have questions about the project, please contact us at rmpfeedback@ucsd.edu.
