Contract Awarded for Curriculum Management System

By now, you’ve likely seen the Campus Announcement informing the University community that the contract for a curriculum management system has been awarded to Leepfrog Technologies Inc. and their system, CourseLeaf.

Below are the key points we want to highlight about this decision, links to frequently asked questions and a way to contact the SIS Project team directly.

Key Takeaways

Here's what we want you to understand about this decision.

  • CourseLeaf will be used for course and curriculum proposal and maintenance, catalog management, learning outcome tracking and management, and the tracking of metrics required for accreditation. CourseLeaf will not be used to manage course content; course content will continue to be managed via our learning management system (LMS), Canvas.
  • The next steps for the project include establishing a project team, along with a steering committee and advisory board who provide leadership and guidance for the project. We will hold project planning meetings with the vendor and formally kick-off the project.
  • In order to manage the impact of the project on stakeholders, the implementation of CourseLeaf will be conducted in several phases over the next few years. The first phase is expected to begin within the next two months. Go-live for the first phase of the project is currently targeted for 2024, and a more specific date for go-live will be shared with stakeholders and the university community once it has been determined.
