Immediate Change in Grant Application and Conflict of Interest Disclosure

The following is a reprint of a Campus Notice published January 21, 2020.

We are pleased to announce Kuali Research and Kuali Conflict of Interest
(COI) are now live and ready for use. The launch of Kuali Research and
Kuali COI is the culmination of redesigning business processes in order
to streamline, develop and implement institutional best practices
campus-wide and is part of the Chancellor’s Enterprise Systems Renewal
(ESR) project. These new systems will enable researchers and staff to
prepare and submit external proposals and conflict of interest
disclosures more easily.

Kuali Research (KR) replaces the current contract and grant system of
Coeus: Electronic Proposal Development (EPD), Institute Proposal (IP)
and Award.

Kuali Conflict of Interest replaces the current paper-based processes
for PHS, Non-PHS and 700-U forms by providing a more streamlined user
experience, making it easier to submit and update conflict of interest
disclosures with external proposals and other related activities
required to meet university and state and federal government disclosure
