UC San Diego has a rich cultural, academic, educational, and recreational event offerings. With as many as 20,000 events and many different event options and goals, it can be hard to manage it all. There are as many as 38 Event Planning, Calendar, and Event Scheduling applications and workflows that exist on campus. An Enterprise Event and Production Management Project Team has been established to develop and implement an Enterprise Event Management and Production campus-wide strategy.

This Enterprise Event and Production Management (EEPM) project will:

  • Support safe COVID-19 reopening, safety and security processes (event awareness and data flow)
  • Improve event initiation workflows and supporting technology (covers both remote and virtual event workflows)
  • Reduce the number of tools needed to schedule an event and comply with campus protocol
  • Provide access to event-related data analytics/metrics
  • Streamline venue sourcing processes
  • Improve event communications and calendaring
