Student QueryLink Reports Remediation Updates

The QueryLink remediation effort continues to make strong progress, and we have some key updates to share as we near the end of 2025.

Upcoming Report Retirements – Transition Now!

As a reminder, legacy QueryLink versions — including the 11 reports already released, the two accounts receivable (AR) reports now in user acceptance testing (UAT), and those confirmed for permanent retirement — will retire on January 23, 2026.  Reports that are not confirmed for permanent retirement by the end of 2025 will remain active past January 23, 2026. They will stay available until remediation occurs; however, they will stop receiving updated data from TSS once TSS launches in Fall 2026.

Visit the ESR-SIS Student QueryLink Overview and Current and Future Report Development sections on Blink to see what’s available, what’s still coming and what’s retiring.

Users should submit their access requests and begin transitioning to the new versions on BAH as soon as possible to ensure uninterrupted access to supported and up-to-date data sources. Take advantage of this unique opportunity to try out the new reports while the legacy versions are still available.

Next Round of Remediated QueryLink Reports Moving into Testing

Two AR reports entered UAT on November 17. These are the Accounts Receivable Aging and Accounts Receivable Transactions reports. These are used to report on charges and payments processed through the student information system (SIS). Where possible, Oracle Financial Cloud (OFC) chart string elements were incorporated into the report, making it easier for users working out of both OFC and the SIS.

UAT will run through December 12, 2025, with a planned release to the Business Analytics Hub (BAH) on December 19, 2025. UAT plays a vital role in ensuring that these reports meet functional needs and data accuracy expectations before going live. Our team is so grateful to our Quality Assurance and UAT testers for helping us deliver accurate reports.

Campus Missing Prerequisites Report

The current QueryLink Campus Missing Prerequisites report supports a specific function that will now be managed within the Triton Student System (TSS), and therefore, related outputs are being transitioned directly into TSS. This means that the Campus Missing Prerequisites report will not be remediated as a Cognos report and has been removed from the scope of this remediation effort. The current QueryLink version will remain available for historical reporting, but will not receive updated data from TSS, starting with Fall 2026 data.

The Organizational Change Management (OCM) Team will coordinate and facilitate further details on training for this process in TSS as that becomes available. Questions can be directed to esr-student@ucsd.edu.

Thank You

As we close out the year, we want to extend our appreciation to all our campus partners who continue to collaborate and provide feedback throughout these efforts. Your engagement and testing support remain essential to ensuring the remediated reports meet the campus needs.
