SIS Project: What You Should Know (May 2025)
Key Project Milestones and Progress
Here's a quick summary of what's happened on the SIS Project this past month. You can watch the two-minute video summary or review the bullets below. If you have questions or would like more information about any of the following projects, please reach out to us at esr-student@ucsd.edu.
Triton Student System (TSS)
Implementing a new student information system (TSS) to replace our current system (ISIS) and bring together main campus and Extended Studies on to the same system
- Announced the go-live timeline change of Winter 2026 to Summer 2026.
- Completed plan for Process Group 4 build.
- Completed plan for the development of functionality from current apps that will be native in TSS.
- Started development of the first few processes in TSS.
- Conducted user acceptance testing (UAT) orientation.
Continuity Planning for TSS
Remediate reports, applications and integrations to ensure business continuity during the implementation of the new TSS
- Continued preparations for UAT of initial remediated QueryLink reports.

- Continued sessions with distributed IT units to support remediation of their impacted applications and reports.
- Ongoing discussions between ITS and functional teams on remediation strategies.
- Continued work on rebuilding the technical foundation of the Student Activity Hub to support a smooth and reliable data connection with TSS.
Financial Support Payments Tool (FSPT)
Improving graduate student funding processing by building a new tool (FSPT) to replace the current Financial Support Request Tool (FSRT)
- Completed development including audit log, integrations (ProSAM, OFC AP, AR, OFC Validations, Student Data for academic eligibility), and application functionality.
- Started work on end-to-end testing and product sign-off.
- Held first office hours for FSPT in April.
- Reached out to end users regarding resources and office hours.
- Published an article and short video on how to enter stipends into FSPT.
CourseLeaf
Introducing the CourseLeaf curriculum system (CIM) to UC San Diego to support and streamline the curriculum process, from planning to implementation to assessment
- Continued functional testing and completed UAT of the course approval form.
- Continued to build the CourseLeaf to ISIS integration for interim use and the CourseLeaf to TSS integration.
- Continued end user training development.
Note: CourseLeaf does not handle course content, which will continue to be managed through the learning management system (LMS), Canvas.
uAchieve Transfer Articulation (TA)
Implementing transfer articulations, predefined and one-off, within the existing uAchieve system
- Worked on preparing to collaborate with the Admissions team to test transfer articulation rules using self-reported transfer courses from Fall 2024 and Fall 2025 transfer student admits.
- Continued programming additional institutions to expand the uAchieve Transfer Articulation platform.
