Triton Student System (TSS): Impact on Applications You Use
As UC San Diego prepares for the implementation of the Triton Student System (TSS) for Main Campus and the Division of Extended Studies (DES), we know many of you want to understand what this means for the applications you use every day. To support you, we’ve created a living application status list that outlines which applications will stay, change, retire or are still under review.
[View the Application Status List]
What’s in the List
The list is focused on enterprise-wide applications for both Main Campus and DES, and a selection of specialized applications used across departments. It does not cover every department system, but it will be updated regularly so you always have the latest information as decisions are made. We recommend you bookmark the Impacted Applications List as the project is evolving and new applications are added to the list.
Some existing tools - such as the Major/Minor Tool, the Degree and Diploma Application (DDA), and EASy - will transition into TSS and use shared workflows (known as “My Requests” in TSS). These future-state processes are still being designed. We recognize that this represents a significant change from how these tools currently operate, and we’ll hold future sessions to discuss how the new shared workflows will function.
If you have questions about applications not listed, please contact your local IT lead. If you’re unsure who your local IT lead is, please reach out to the Continuity Planning team at esr-continuity@ucsd.edu.
Moving Forward Together
The TSS Project implementation represents a significant and evolving transition. We’re committed to transparent communication and will continue to provide visibility into the project as it unfolds. Your questions and feedback are a key part of shaping how this transition supports your teams and the wider university community.
We will be inviting select audiences to participate in demonstrations of TSS once they are ready to share with the wider public. These demonstrations will include:
- Review the new systems and processes
- Ask questions
- Share feedback
