Get Ready: New and Improved Student Reports Coming to the Business Analytics Hub

The Office of the Registrar is excited to announce that a new set of student reports will launch on the Business Analytics Hub (BAH) on July 14. These updated reports are redesigned versions of the familiar Student QueryLink reports, and they’ll offer a more streamlined and accessible way for staff to work with student data.

Important Note: These reports do not replace the Instructional Tools on Blink (like class rosters or waitlists). Those tools will migrate separately to the new Triton Student System (TSS) as part of the overall student information system implementation. More details about the future state of the Instructional Tools will be provided by the TSS Team as more information becomes available.

What You Need to Know

  • Access will not be automatically carried over. If you currently use QueryLink/Student Queries, please note that your access will not automatically transfer to the new Cognos reports on BAH. You'll need to complete required training and submit an access request to gain access. See the “How to Get Ready” section below for more details.
  • New reports will be accessible on bah.ucsd.edu starting July 14. You can find more details about the release timeline and report availability on the Blink Student Operational Reporting page.
    • Please note: The original student QueryLink reports and the new Cognos versions will run in parallel for some time to support a smooth transition. The current plan is to officially retire the legacy QueryLink versions on January 23, 2026.
  • SQL Executor will no longer work with student data. If you currently use SQL Executor to write your own queries against student data, please be aware that this tool will not work with the new Student Activity Hub (SAH) data source. Going forward, users will need to:
    • Use the new BAH student reports, which are the remediated versions of QueryLink reports in Cognos, or
    • Work with your school analyst for additional or custom reporting needs.

How to Get Ready

1. Required Training:

2. Access Request:

  • Mark your calendars! Access requests open on July 14. You’ll be able to submit your request by selecting the “Request Access” link on the Student BAH site.

By taking these steps now, you’ll be ready to access the new BAH student reports and continue supporting student success through data-informed decisions.
