CourseLeaf

The CourseLeaf Project will introduce a curriculum management system CIM (Curriculum Inventory Measurement) for UC San Diego. This will be a wholly new system to support and streamline the curriculum process from planning to implementation to assessment. CourseLeaf will serve all areas of the university, bringing the School of Medicine, Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, and the Division of Extended Studies onto a system with the rest of campus.

What's Happening Now

The course approval form is the first component to go-live. This replaces the course approvals that were processed in eCourse in the past.

The CourseLeaf course approval form is live as of August 27, 2025 for main campus users (general campus, School of Medicine, and Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences).

The Division of Extended Studies (DES) CourseLeaf course approval form is live as of September 29, 2025 for DES users.

Users for main campus and DES can access CourseLeaf at curriculum.ucsd.edu and log in using their SSO credentials to begin submitting course requests.

Weekly Office Hours - Main Campus

Users can stop by to ask us questions and receive support about the CourseLeaf course approval form during office hours. We’ve had CourseLeaf users stop by to:

  • Let us know how easy it is to navigate CourseLeaf and other feedback
  • Ask clarifying questions about a process
  • Submit their first course approval while screen sharing to make sure they were submitting correctly
  • Ask “what if” scenario questions if information is missing or incorrect on their request
  • Complete their course approval request while on the Zoom line in case they had questions
  • Ask about the workflow and notification clarifications
  • Receive extra support on a complicated course submission

We encourage you to have the training Blink page self-paced training modules open when you come to ask questions to let us know what was unclear or missing from the training so that we can better support and help clarify information.
